“The best of the inner harbor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 29, 2008

WONDERFUL!! Beginning with checkin, to the furnishings of the room, the bottle of wine, & the perfect breakfast for free!!
Not one negative thing can be said of this perfect hotel. The room was as if we were staying at a wealthy friends home. Worth going to The Inner Harbor just to stay at the Wharf.

What a find! We've stayed three times now and it's an amazing place to stay. Just outside your door is a ferry over to the Inner Harbor, so the location is ideal. The rooms are large and VERY comfortable. They gave us a bottle of wine when we checked in. The continental breakfast in the lobby is lovely. It's a romantic inn, more of a B & B than a hotel. The Harbour view room is worth the extra few dollars but a courtyard view is just as comfortable, and nice and dark (we are early risers and still slept till 10:00!). Can't say enough about it.

All i can say is Wow! This hotel was amazing! The interior is beautiful, the room was fairly large, all the staff was very nice and talked to us multiple times, asked us about our activities we had told them we were going to do when we came back, took a picture for us, and even recommended a great place to order take out at 11:30 at night. You also get a free bottle of wine (it was a pretty decent one too, no sutter home here) when you check in, and can switch it out for another one (they have about 4-5 options of red, white and even a sparkling). The breakfast was much better then other B&Bs i've stayed at, with fresh fruit including blackberries, blueberries, and red raspberries (in January!). They also include the typical bagel, cereal, etc. There is always coffee and tea available for all patrons 24/7. The courtyard in the middle of the building looked like it would be great to eat breakfast in over the summer. Abit too cold in january though. The water taxi is about 250 yards away and that takes you right into inner harbor \ the aquarium, and in the spring and summer takes you down to ft mchenry. A taxi ride from inner harbor back to the hotel (water taxi closes at 6pm in the winter) cost us $7, which isnt bad at all. Oh and parking is FREE at the hotel, almost forgot to add that in. Overall i dont think i would stay anywhere else in baltimore ever again, it is well worth the price!

Located in the charming Fell's Point area of Baltimore and within walking distance of countless bars and restaurants, this inn is a must stay. Hurricane Isabel (2003) flooded the inn with 2 feet of water. This event lead to a complete renovation leaving the rooms filled with beautifully custom made furniture giving them an antique but comfortable feel. The same proximity to the Patapsco River, which caused so much damage in 2003, leaves the visitor with majestic views of the harbor.

Guests checking in are welcomed with a complimentary bottle of wine, a fully stocked snack bar (not comp), robes, comfy bed and flat screen tv. Breakfasts shouldn't be missed as it offers a wide variety of fruits, breads, pastries and juices that are attended to constantly.

It is a cross between staying at home and a first class hotel.

I can't recommend it enough and love both the neighborhood as well as the proximity to Johns Hopkins (which was the reason for our trip). In addition the property offers such amenities as free continental breakfast which is really more of a buffet style.

All in all, first class property.

Thanks Tripadvisor forum for pointing this out .....

Before reserving on the web, I corresponded with the hotel by e-mail, and received quick, complete, and courteous replies to my messages. The truthfulness of those replies was verified by our experience. All rooms are ground level (which makes access easy for people who cannot negotiate stairs), each with own heating and air conditioning and hot water supply. Ours was very spacious, well-furnished, clean, quiet, and smoke free. The front desk people were efficient, helpful, and responsive. Housekeeping was generally good, though the maid failed to replace used toiletries. The "continental" breakfast was excellent and plentiful; it included good pastries and bagels, a variety of excellent fresh fruit, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. Free parking is available on an adjacent unpaved lot, which is accessed a bit inconveniently by room key. A free newspaper is provided even on Sunday. One computer with printer/copier/fax is available for guest use free. However, the computer is set to search Yahoo for entries on the address line that are not web addresses, with the result that Microsoft e-mail cannot be accessed by entering <email> or <webmail> on the address line. No chair or floor lamp in the room was suitable for reading. There were no grab bars in the bathroom, and the basin was unusually small.

The Inn at Henderson's Wharf is a lovely hotel right on the harbor in Baltimore. You can walk out the door and be in the little trendy area of Fells Point. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The hotel staff is extremely helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel for the harbor area!
