“Iconic Place in American History”

Simply put, if you go to Baltimore and you don't visit here, it would be like going to London and skipping the Tower of London. No brainer, go here for the place it holds in American history.

“History Lesson at its best”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

The National Park Service has done a wonderful job preserving this historic site and presenting the story of how the Star Spangle Banner was written. It is pleasant to walk around the perimeter of the fort and parking is easy.

“As important as the Liberty Bell”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

This is it folks; the birthplace of the SONG! The war of 1812 stopped here. After the British devastated Washington DC with practically no resistance, they tried it again at Baltimore. But the folks of Baltimore gave the the "second shot hear around the world". Take your children; tell the story; seat on the banks and imagine those days when Francis Scott Key, held on a British prisoner ship, penned those words!

“Great history visit”
Reviewed May 8, 2014

My husband was very interested in visiting this but I was not as enthusiastic. We took the ferry there which is part of the fun and we saw a few great presentations by the park rangers that were so educational and entertaining. I stand corrected :) Def worth a visit.
