“otakon staff was unorganized”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

otakon staff was ill-mannered, rude, and unprofessional, they had very poor communication skills, and were only concerned with themselves. no accommodations were made to those con-goers standing outside in the heat for 4 + hours and were rudely cut off and sent home. will not be returning and hope in the future this issue will be resolved.

Great venue with easy access. Right in the heart of the Inner Harbor where there is something for everyone. Convenient to restaurants, museums, harbor cruises, nightlife (safe walking!), and kid-friendly stuff like the National Aquarium (great dolphin show), Ripley's, Pizzeria Uno, and the train to D.C. if you decide to take in the Smithsonian. Just a generally great place to hang out. If your kids want to go to Bronycon, it is a great time with some really great people, and very safe, drug-free atmosphere, The only convention I have ever attended that has such an air of innocence and good-natured fun. And where else are you going to see 35 year old guys with graying beards dressed like ponies? Okay, I know it sounds weird. Actually, it is weird, but believe it or not, also strangely endearing.

“It needs moving sidewalks”
Reviewed August 2, 2014

This was NOT one of the nicest CCs I've ever been to, that's for sure. One of the meeting rooms had a window that was shattered from an apparent gun shot. Kind of tells you a little about the neighborhood. Why wouldn't they make fixing that window a priority before hosting a bunch do out-of-towners? The rooms were mostly too warm and it was rather cool for July outside with highs only around 78-80. Also, it takes a good 8 minutes to go from one end to another, wear your most comfortable shoes. There was a Starbucks kiosk--don't expect your usual Starbucks fare--and not sure if the host had to pay for that. You have to leave the building for snacks and drinks unless you're OK with vending machines. Overall, if I were a meeting planner, there are better places.

“Compact Set Up”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

I like that the convention center is big, but not huge. It was easy to walk to various function areas. It's designed well. There's one Starbuck's with limited hours that can be rather slow.

“Great Conference Venue”
Reviewed April 5, 2014

Who knew Baltimore had a convention center that competes with others around the country. Our conference was large and we needed the space but wear your walking shoes because there's lots of floor space to cover from one end to the other.
