“If you love baseball, you've got to take the tour at Camden Yards”
Reviewed September 21, 2010

I just spent the weekend in Baltimore to go to a couple of games at Camden Yards. While there, we took the tour of the stadium and it was fantastic. The guide really knew his stuff. I learned things about the stadium I never would have known otherwise. Best of all, we got to go down to the field and sit in the dugout and experience the stadium from the players' viewpoint. Just don't walk on, touch or pull the grass - they WILL kick you out.

“Tour of Oriole Park - Camden Yards”
Reviewed September 9, 2010

The tour takes a good hour and a half and be prepared to walk a bit. On our tour we had to take the elevators three times. There were about twenty of us and it was tight. If you are claustrophobic, be ware. The tour was excellent and an excellent value. Many opportunities to take pictures and you get access to areas you normally would never see.

Loved the tour and if you plan on field tickets to a game, consider a box seat. Price can be about the same and it is really nice up there!

“Great baseball fun!”
Reviewed August 14, 2010

Wow, what a great ball park! Beautiful and lots of history - especially the markings on Eutaw Street indicating who hit homeruns and where the ball landed! The staff are friendly and welcoming, right down to ushering you right to your seat and cleaning it before you sit down! Order a hot dog from the vendor in the stands and he'll write "Orioles" in mustard! Driving to the park and finding parking was easy and hassle free.

“Gorgeous Stadium!”
Reviewed August 11, 2010

This is the nicest baseball stadium I've seen! If you are a baseball fan, this is a must see stadium. Even if the O's are out of town, definitely do the tour. It's well worth the $9 ticket price! These days you can get tickets the day of the game just about anytime. You can walk around in front of the warehouse except during game time or just before.

“Wonderful experience in every regard, especially for out-of-towners”
Reviewed August 11, 2010

I've been to several games at Camden Yards and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience every single time. Oriole Park really has the best of everything -- fair prices for tickets. parking, and the wide selection of good food, walking distance to the vibrant Inner Harbor and its restaurants and many hotels in every price range and its endless attractions (don't miss the aquarium!!!), beautiful architecture, easy access to BWI airport or the Amtrak station for out-of-town guests, and probably the friendliest fans and most helpful stadium staff you'll find anywhere.

I mention the stadium staff because we had a problem with our tickets (our fault) at a recent game, and the people from the Orioles organization who assisted us could simply not have been more interested in getting things resolved promptly, cheerfully, and without any fanfare or grumbling -- it was one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had in any setting -- we were treated like family.

And if you don't live in the area, it's super easy to get to the stadium. Although many people don't realize it, Baltimore is a very large airport with TONS of inexpensive flights (Southwest has a major hub there). Once you're at BWI, just hop on the light rail, which will take you to within a half block of the stadium. If you're arriving in Baltimore via Amtrak, you can also use the light rail from the BWI Airport Amtrak station (take the airport shuttle bus from the Amtrak station to the main terminal, then get on the light rail train) or else get off at Penn Station, which is Baltimore's main Amtrak station downtown, and then take light rail or a cab to the ballpark. Light rail info: http://mta.maryland.gov/services/lightrail/ Do buy a ticket for the light rail -- ticketing is on the honor system, but they conduct random spot-check enforcement and you'll get a citation if you can't prove you've paid the fare (which is something cheap like $1.60 each way).

If you're in Baltimore for some reason and have a chance to see an Orioles game, it's a not-to-be-missed experience. This is a great time for visiting team fans to take in a game -- with the Orioles not playing so well at the moment, it's very easy to snag tickets very close to the visiting team dugout. In particular, if you live on the East Coast and are a fan of some other team that visits Baltimore as part of the regular schedule or as part of interleague play, you will not find a better place to spend a day or so and enjoy a game or two and a wonderful downtown area.
