“A treasury on Mt. Vernon”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

If you live in Baltimore, the Walters Art Museum is your good FREE treasury of world history. It is worthy of spending several days enjoying the historical items in the museum. If you come to Baltimore for sightseeing, it is also a must. Visiting Baltimore without this museum would be a great pity.

What an awesome museum with so much history. Could spend days trying to see everything and it is FREE. Lots of History and religious artifacts. Amazingly beautiful; a must see.

“Couldn't Tear Myself Away”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

I took the train to Baltimore recently to visit the National Aquarium but I wound up instead at the Walters Art Museum where I stayed most of the day. It's on North Charles Street, a few blocks from Amtrak's Penn Station, and I thought I'd stop by for a brief look. I had never been to the Walters before. This place is fantastic. The art on display, the building, the architecture, everything about the place invited me in and to stay awhile. I couldn't tear myself away until I had seen it all. It's a great way to spend a day in Baltimore and it's free.
