Well, this place was a huge disappointment! The best part was the climbing tower, and there are similar places in every park in the country, for free! The exhibits made for toddlers were terrible, nothing you can't find at even the most run-down day care center. A lot of the exhibits weren't even working, and the sensation station was kind of pathetic, my daughter has more to play with at home. Miss Perceptions room was morbid at best, with severed body parts and heads lurking around for the kids to find. Most of the exhibits started on a good premise, but were executed extremely poorly. The staff was unhelpful at best, unfriendly at worst! No one ever enticed the children to become involved, and no one was there to guide them through any of the confusing exhibits. In the clay room, we walked in with three children, the staff member there handed one child some clay and went on with her business. I had to get her attention, not once, but twice, to get clay for the others. And we thought we were making something to take home with us, but at the end we had to dump our creations back in the bin to get mushed-how is that different than playing with Play-Doh? My youngest did like the Charlie Brown display, but there was absolutely nothing that all the kids could do together!
They tried to play soccer, but a bunch of older kids and adults stayed on the field with the ball the entire time we stood there waiting, and there was again, no staff member to enforce a time limit, or even common courtesy! The same was true in the sensation room and the produce place. Kids were unsupervised, half of the produce was taken to a different floor, so there was barely anything to play with, and the same kids stayed on an exhibit for long periods of time without allowing others to take their turn. Do not waste your time or money!
