“Impressive - go after 5pm and the price drops”
Reviewed December 5, 2013

I was really impressed by the aquarium and the way it is laid out; it is very modern and has some great exhibits (if that is the right name for the fish!). It is quite pricey normally- $35 or so per adult - but it stays open until 8pm on Friday night (actually last entry is 8pm and it doesn't close for another 45 mins after that) and after 5pm, the price drops to $12. That's a great bargain and when we went on the Friday evening it was pretty quiet so I'm really glad we did. We paid $5 extra each for the 3D movie but it was quite disappointing - a film about salmon swimming up the river, that turned out to be part of a David Attenborough documentary I had seen on TV, admittedly not in 3D but salmon swimming aren't really that exciting. Overall though a great place to visit.

“Awesome Reef!”
Reviewed December 4, 2013

We recently went to the National Aquarium, and had a wonderful time! We spent about 40 minutes at the reef exhibit, mainly due to our new friend. There was one damsel fish that was enthralled with my son and his friend. The fish would follow their hands and fingers, would come closer to the glass if they did, would swim up and down and I swear was just as excited as the kids were. The Aquarium staff came over and spent some time talking to us and watching the behavior, the kids AND the fish. They were very informative and gave us a small chat about the fish, reef, etc. The staff continued to watch for a bit and they were fascinated by the interaction of the fish and the kids. Seems everyone learns something new at the Aquarium! Love it and we all cant wait to come back.

“Great for business outings!”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

We came here for a business outing for my company and I was pleasantly surprised. It was fantastic to have access to the aquarium after hours and tour around with no crowds. The food was delicious and the service was very attentive. The aquarium was marvelous in itself so it was nice that everything else was at the same level.
