the Hilton Garden Inn on 625 S. President Street in Baltimore is a great facility. The staff is awesome. This hotel is in a great location between the Inner Harbor and Fells Point. Is is within walking distance to Little Italy. James Joyce restaurant and bar is directly across the street. They have an outdoor eating/ drinking area that is cigar friendly. Still a free country, at least there.

My husband and I just returned from a weekend at this property.

We used the valet service at the hotel, because we wanted to come and go as we pleased. This was not a problem, because the valets were more than accommodating. The hotel knew it was our anniversary and surprised us with a bottle of wine and a fruit and cheese plate in our room.
The hotel staff from the front desk to housekeeping could not have been friendlier! Everyone acknowledged you and greeted you with a hello and a smile.
The rooms were clean and well appointed.
I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel itself is nice, clean, comfortable rooms, etc., but what really makes this hotel great is the location. In Harbor East, less than one block from harbor; about 1/2 mile walk from Inner Harbor attractions such as Pier 6; about 1/2 mile walk from Fells Point. Right in the middle of all the excellent Little Italy restaurants. There is also a Whole Foods around the corner for picking up on-the-go lunches or snacks. Finally - if you are a fan of working out - as a guest at this hotel you have access to the best gym in Baltimore, the Maryland Athletic Club right next door. The MAC has a 25-yd pool, a huge selection of weight and cardio machines, and very nice locker rooms. Normally day-passes here are $20. Pro tip: Like all downtown hotels, parking onsite is expensive. If you don't mind walking a few blocks, you can park in the LIttle Italy garage for only $4/day on Sat and Sundays; $14 during the week. (no in & out privileges - but a great option for overnight parking)
