We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this historic inn. The furniture is antique and our room was spacious. The inn has central air and the temperature was comfortable. Breakfasts were outstanding and the afternoon cookies were delicious. Coffee, tea, and water were always available. Restaurants are within walking distance. The owner offered suggestions which were very good. We might return to Fort Davis to stay here again.

The highlight is the sweet lady that prepares breakfast. She is adorable. It is also nice to have breakfast with other guests and visit. Make sure you walk out back and meet Tipsy and look at the view.

Room Tip: Our bed was very firm!

For the price point, the older rooms need some "loving"... Better mattresses and linen that actually smell clean ON the beds would be a great start! We have stayed here twice in the past few months now. Loved the house in the back. However, when we stayed in the main property, in a row with two twin beds, the beds were NOT comfortable at all, and the walls paper thin.... Along with the linens having a very musty/dusty smell...

We stayed at the Veranda Historic Inn last Saturday night with a group of friends, and all in our group found it very comfortable and pleasant. The rooms are nice, with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Very convenient parking and owners were welcoming with brownies, tea, and coffee. Lastly, we were served a delicious breakfast. I would highly recommend staying at the Veranda. JLH from El Paso, Texas

Just spent two nights at the historic Veranda Inn in Ft. Davis. This was the oldest hotel in West Texas built in 1883, now a relaxing B & B owned by David Senreiber. We stayed in Suite 8. All the rooms are decorated in Victorian style. Lovely breakfast each morning and cookies or brownies in the afternoon. Beautiful gardens out back complete with Tippy, the pot-bellied pig. Great front porch to sit on and watch the hummingbirds or just relax with a book. We would definitely stay here again. Tex Ormand

Room Tip: Suite 8 got the afternoon sun. Suites 5 and 9 would be my choice in the future.
