Brendi was kind enough to let me pick a room on arrival and personally showed me around and made me feel welcome. This was a return visit from 2002, and their changes are very positive for hospitality and vintage decor. No luck at the restauranat though as I pulled in minutes after their last seating, couldn't even get a salad to take back to my room "We just put everything away", still had several diners they were serving. Too cold to try the pool. Good option though for getting off the Interstate 10, adds an hour overall to the travel time.

Room Tip: I stayed again in room 31, in a quiet garden section downstairs, maybe a bit haunted.

Spotless room, quiet, great staff, reasonable rate, and a beautifully appointed room. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need for cooking in although they serve a delicious ribeye at the drug store across the street. Enjoy your stay, you'll love it.

Room Tip: Poolside are the quietest rooms.

The hotel plays very well the card of old rustic charm, but just because you offer a glimpse of early century amenities does not mean you should charge palace rates. Our $157 granted us the dark ground floor room right next to the lobby toilets, a view on the main street sidewalk and a really old, tired shower. Breakfast was not included but we learned at check-in that our room rate included free coffee!

On the other hand, the bedding was very comfortable and yes the room had plenty of charm and was super clean. Definitely a great place to relax either in your room our out on their front porch. Staff was nice.

There is a breakfast served in the bar next door for hotel guests, it was a tiny buffet with really bad scrambled eggs and dry french toasts. Try going across the street instead.

Rustic, quant and very relaxing atmosphere. Our group of three rented a suite at the Hotel Limpia and we are having a great mini vacation. We were in need of rest and relaxation and this is just place. The staff is fun and helpful and we are enjoying sitting on our rocking chairs on our private porch and reading in a tranquil environment. Our two bedroom, two bath suite is very large and has everything that we need. The only critisism is the carpet in our suite which needs to be replaced or better yet, taken out to reveal the wood flooring underneath. Simple but nice breakfast available each morning at the Blue Mountain Bistro and great complimentary coffee available each morning. If you are looking for a new and modern hotel with a bustling environment, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a historic, quant hotel in which to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ft. Davis, the Hotel Limpia is your place. The fixtures etc. have some wear which some other reviewers have complained about but who cares! All three in our party would stay here again and in fact, plan on it.

This was a return trip, as I enjoyed our last stay so much. Stayed in Room 29-- very comfortable and nice size, with a comfortable bed. The staff is incredibly friendly. The hotel has a nice blend of old charm and modern convenience. Great breakfast at the Bistro. Also really liked eating at the drug store across the street. Check out the local library right next door. the building has been restored, with lots of history still in place.

Clean, perfect location, super friendly staff, reasonable price. Stayed two nights. Very comfortable bed. Tuxedo the cat was a great addition to the ambience. Parking was convenient and close. Courtyard and garden seating was nice for relaxing.

Stayed here two nights to attend an event in Fort Davis and Marfa. It is a fun place and a good value for Fort Davis. We stayed in the main building which is in decent shape, floors are a little unlevel but that adds to the charm. Decent bathroom, the room was rather small however. We were in Room 22 and I would recommend one of the odd numbered rooms across the hall to get better morning sunlight and a better view. Great bar and a nice little restaurant for quick breakfast and complimentary coffee or you can walk across the street to the Drug Store to eat which was fun.

Room Tip: Ask for one without a view of the rooftop. Odd numbered rooms might be better.
