You can't beat the view here, and the ambiance is wonderful. Unfortunately, I found the portions to be quite tiny, overpriced, and only mediocre. The service was quite slow, and I was there when the place was almost empty.

We had an excellent dinner, perfect servers, and a view of the river under the bridge. We sat for hours enjoying the taste of our meal, and watching large boats pass under the bridge. We also stayed at the Pier Cannery hotel which was wonderful in helping out of town visitors. The hotel itself was rated 5 stars, perfect.

Tasty menu with good variety, especially northwest and seafood dishes. Right across the parking lot from the Cannery Pier Hotel.

I stopped there on a trip to Seaside OR with friends; the view was awesome; the service was super, friendly and efficient; the food was different and we all tried different items (to share). About 5 weeks later, my husband and another couple were on our way to Port Angeles WA and then to Victoria BC and I encouraged them to stop at the Bridgewater Bistro for lunch. We did. . .same thing, excellent all the way around. So, on our return trip to the states, we made sure we were in Astoria just in time for lunch!! You owe it to yourself to try this extraordinary restaurant. The servers paid attention to our every need and the atmosphere was terrific. Enjoy!
