“IF ONLY THE FOOD QUALITY MATCHED THE VIEW!”
Reviewed May 20, 2009

I've been to the Bridgewater many times and I always leave wishing the food could somehow match the view! It certainly does not!
Go there for soup and salad and wine. That's all i can suggest for this restaurant with a lovely salvaged wood floor and a beautiful view! Way too much fried tasteless food being prepared (and served!) here.

We are always sorry to hear that anyone's dining experience was not up to their expectations. We wish that the reviewers had spoken up--we would have gladly steered them to the many items on our menus which are oven-poached, roasted or grilled. Besides the mentioned soups and salads which are available all day, our menus include 22 small plates/appetizers available from 3pm to closing (only 3 are deep-fried), 24 lunch items (only 5 are deep-fried) and 19 dinner entrees (only the fish and chips are deep-fried). At this time, none of the desserts are deep-fried!

“Fresh food and great flavors-- worth the drive from Seattle!”
Reviewed May 17, 2009

We were so excited to try out this new restaurant, having experienced the fabulous food and service at Ann and Tony Kischner's previous restaurant. Wow-- the seafood was cooked to perfection and such a diversity of flavors and presentations. I loved the ambience-- so close to the bridge, offering a unique perspective of the mighty Columbia. Everything baked at the restaurant is done so on the premises, and you can tell. I loved the size of the desserts-- this is no Cheesecake Factory with pounds of weight. No, these desserts are pieces of perfection presented beautifully with a clear emphasis on quality over quantity. From the bread to the main dish to dessert and coffee-- well worth a stop on the way to Cannon Beach or whereever.

“Beautiful - Location and Food”
Reviewed April 30, 2009

Went there last night for dinner after reading reviews on tripadvisor. What a beautiful restaurant, with the exposed wood, and lots of windows providing natural light and a beautiful water view. I was surprised it was not busy at all on a Wednesday night at 7:30, but had no need to be concerned. The food was excellent and served quickly. The waitstaff was more than attentive and truly pleasant. Would definitely recommend the Bridgewater Bistro and will make a return visit if I'm back in the area.

“A gem of a find”
Reviewed April 26, 2009

I have been fortunate to visit the Bridgewater Bistro several times now and have been pleased beyond my expectations every time. To be able to get a meal with that caliber of food and service consistantly is a rare, yet appreciated find. And then to throw that view in there is a bonus. I have really appreciated having great food and a great wine list at prices that I can still afford to enjoy in this economy. Thank you to all at the Bridgewater Bistro for the opportunity for great dining experiences.

“Trendy with all the right amenities...”
Reviewed April 21, 2009

Living on the coast for about 15+ years, I have longed for such a restaurant. Here it is at last. The food is excellent and not overpriced as there is a great variety for all purses.
From the small bite menu, bistro fare and a fairly large fine dining menu you can't go wrong. I have been a fan on the Shoalwater for years, but not always able to travel across the river when I want to eat out. Now I can hop in the car and be there in minutes.....what a luxury. All of the foods that I have ordered have surpassed my expectations. Especially the small bites which allow me to sample a variety of yummy treats along with my favorite wine. Afternoons are usually complicated at most places but not at the Bridgewater. They continue to serve exceptional food all day long so I can go any time I want. Hooray to Tony, Ann & Chef Red.
