“Amazing seafood restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2014

Great place due to atmosphere, staff, view, and delicious food. Had a nice romantic dinner with hubby, shared a bottle of Flying Fish merlot (how appropriate!), crab dip, and Poisson St Jacques. Afterwards, we took a walk on the nearby boardwalk through town.

“"Wonderful Atmosphere"”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2014

This is a beautiful restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderful. They had a pianist playing when we arrived. The atmosphere for me made it a great experience. Our waiter was also fantastic. We ended up waiting close to an hour to get our food but the staff made sure we were compensated for that. The adult food was ok. My kids' food tasted really good.

“A true Oasis in Astoria!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2014

We drove through Astoria and were amazed how little the gorgeous river view was utilized.

Thankfully, we found Bridgewater Bistro and were delighted! A really gorgeous, gorgeous, view. They have a 2-3 story high ceiling in the dining room with paned windows all the way up looking out over the river and hills on the opposite side, with a view of the bridge also. The high ceiling accommodates a mezzanine level so everyone gets an unobstructed view (and the servers get a good workout!).

We had fish & chips which was wonderful, flavorful, not greasy. Even the fries were exceptional! The salad with beets, avocado and a bunch of other things was fabulous! The fresh tuna was super fresh, high-quality, melts in your mouth, but I didn't think the veal reduction paired well with it. The blackened tuna app may be a better choice. The risotto served with it was delicious, perfect firmness. We also loved that they offered a carafe of good wine we could share, since we were driving and didn't want a whole bottle.

p.s. even the bar has an amazing view!

“Super Seafood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2014

This restaurant was recommended by the staff of the Holiday Inn Express, where we stayed, and it's just a short walk from the hotel. The pan fried oysters were the best I've ever eaten. The staff is wonderful, too.

“Should be #1 on TA ----- Yelp has this place #1”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2014

Had lunch (fish and chips and pan fried oysters) both fantastic...had to repeat the place so for dinner tonight I had the salmon which I almost didn't order as I can eat salmon at home all the time, but this one was out of the ballpark...hubby ordered oyster shooters and a cheesecake with crab..wasn't very big but this was on the small plate menu...service excellent both meals...friendly, and attentive...I highly recommend this to any foodie from Portland or elsewhere..there were 14 salmon fishermen dining close by me from Portland ...so this is also an endorsement...the baby grand playing live at night was a very nice touch...great views of the bridge and water...will repeat if we come thru here in the future ...
