There were several of us and most of the dishes ordered were very good. Especially pleasing was the cream cheese, Dungeness crab tart with a pecan crust. Good Caesar salads and fish. The only disappointment was the fish served with the fish and chips. While it was a choice for the gluten free population, we did not care for the breading. Otherwise we were all pleased with out food and found the setting to be excellent Service a bit slow but we were enjoying each other so that was not an issue for us. Would definitely go back when in Astoria.

I was very sorry to read about your disappointing experience recently, which is definitely not the norm (and definitely does not meet our own standards. It seems that there were a number of snafus with your party that extremely busy summer evening, for which I apologize on behalf of the whole staff. If you will e-mail me at dine@bridgewaterbistro.com, I will immediately refund the cost of your meal.

Food is very very good and is made in USA.
The dish are too much complicated but out of dessert are all OK.
The view is spectacular on the ocean and the restaurant is really nice.

August 15th, a great day' my birthday! We've eaten here before & not been disappointed. Another reviewer describes a different "front door" experience. The host in question was the owner & he was "rattled", for want of a better word. His staff were excellent. So to the owner I say "chill out" & enjoy your wonderful restaurant & staff. We did! Oh and nice live dinner music & a decorated happy birthday dessert plate for me. Thank you.

If we would go back again it is a very good restaurant. We went in at happy hour and tried the small plates. I had the seafood cakes. Today they were made with cod and shrimp. The cakes were mixed with corn, red pepper, zucchini and black beans. It came with orange chipotle glaze on the plate. It was a great combination of flavors. I would order it again. My wife ordered the crab cheese cake with mushroom sauce. The mushroom sauce made this dish. They have a wine and gift shop and the prices for the gifts were very reasonable. The restaurant has a great view of the river. We sat at the bar- everyone was personable.
