We looked forward to trying this restaurant, but were sadly disappointed by the terrible service. We stood at the desk for about five minutes; no one noticed us. Then, the host arrived and greeted us by saying, "No reservation?".
Our waitress never smiled once, forgot to bring us the basket of bread we asked for, and did not ask my husband if he'd like a second beer. It appears as though she hates her job.
As for the food, the onion soup was very good. The prices are high, and the service was so poor that we'll never go here again.

I was also surprised and disappointed to read of your negative experience of the service you received at our restaurant. As you can see by most of the other reviews on this site, this is not a usual reaction. I spend a considerable amount of time with our staff reinforcing the need for friendly, prompt and attentive service and will immediately bring your review to their attention. I apologize for our service team's lapses on the day you visited and hope you will give us another opportunity to give you a better experience at The Bridgewater

Okay, it did start with a couple of bloody mary's! I had the rueben and loved it. The mrs had a hot seafood salad, very unique, and loved it. Beautiful setting looking out on the river. Highly recommend.

Do not pass up an opportunity to dine here. It is unique to say the least. The food and the service is very good, but you might not notice due to the views. A little pricey for my blood, but worth every nickel.

Walked over from the Cannery Pier Hotel on a very Rainey night. No reservations, but since it was Sunday, it was not a problem. Great wine selection from Calif to Wash. We had the prime rib steak and it was cooked to perfection. My wife had the hamburger with the cranberry blue berry mustard. She says this is the best dressing she has ever had. EVER! The prices were right and the service was friendly. The art was from a great local artist Noel Thomas. B sure you look thought th hatch in front of the fireplace.

Husband & I stopped for lunch on last day in Astoria. Only ordered fish & chips which were good but not really any better than we would have gotten at any restaurant in Astoria and servings were small. Service was good but nothing "beyond the call of duty". The memorable part of that lunch was the atmosphere. The restaurant is beautiful and having lunch while watching huge ships pass under the Astoria Bridge right in front of windows we were seated at was pretty amazing. We were very, very glad we made that impromptu stop for lunch.
