“Great for lunch”
Reviewed December 26, 2012 via mobile

At the foot of Astoria Bridge over the Columbia this is a perfect place for lunch after hours of driving from either north or south. We have made the lunch break stop 4 or 5 times over the last couple of years.
It is a pleasant building overlooking the mouth of Columbia River and interior is comfortably laid out with a welcome fireplace. Tables are comfortable and most have a nice view of ocean and river.

Their clam and mussel chowder is exceptional and worth the trip. Fish and chips are well prepared using fresh cod and a tempura like batter. Fries are very good as is the cole slaw and tartar sauce. A fresh bread basket comes to each table when ordering. We also enjoy their shrimp sandwich.

We have always found service to be efficient and friendly and the owner is usually close by with a polite greeting. Thisisoneof the best restaurants on the Oregon Coast.

“Bistro Bliss”
Reviewed December 16, 2012

We stopped off in Astoria on our trip through Oregon and were so lucky to have had Bridgewater Bistro recommended to us! The ambiance is wonderful, the prices reasonable for a higher end restaurant, the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was great! I absolutely recommend for an adult evening out.

“Great good, beautiful view”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Who would have thought Astoria Oregon had so many great restaurants!? Bridgewater Bistro is one of the top places I'd recommend. The building is great - wonderful view of the Columbia River and bridge. I had the fish and chips for lunch - great. Make a reservation for dinner - well worth it. Poor road signage makes it a little hard to find but it is SO worth it! I can't wait to go back and sample more of the menu.

“Delicious food on the Columbia River”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

A delightful place for a late lunch. We sat at the bar and watched river traffic. Mimi, the bartender, was friendly and an efficient server. The salmon bisque was light and flavorful. The Mayan salad of vegetables was unique and full of taste. Curried shrimp sandwich was a fresh idea on shrimp. I look forward to visiting them for dinner on our next trip. The restaurant is frequently the destination for "special occasion" dining, but we were in wet weather casual and felt comfortable.

“If you have just one place to eat in Astoria, make it the Bridgewater Bistro!”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

Beautiful setting, great service and the Prime Rib dip with Swiss is AMAZING! We had the time for just one meal while driving through Astoria and are extremely happy we stopped here for lunch. Next time, we'll try and time the trip through Astoria for dinner here!
