“We found a new must go-to place at the coast.”
Reviewed July 31, 2009

We stumbled upon this restaurant when looking for a place to eat lunch. We were with two young but adventuresome children, and while we were discussing what to order for them, they offered us a sampler platter. This veritable feast contained goulash, stuffed cabbage and a nice selection of cured meats in addition to a nice accompaniment of salad and fresh fruit. The Bosnian versions of these dishes were not like any other renditions that I have ever had. The goulash consisted mainly of large pieces of meat in a delicious sauce. Fortunately, there was plenty of hot bread to make sure that not a drop was left. The owner was very nice and seemed to enjoy showing off the cuisine, even offering us samples of Cokta, a traditional Slovenian soft drink that is totally unlike anything I've ever had before. This is one place that we will definitely be back to again.

“Dry and disappointing”
Reviewed July 13, 2009

We have been to this restaurant twice, and no matter how much we want to enjoy the food, it just keeps falling short. The lamb is dry, the cucumber salad is mostly sour cream, and the salad over-vinegared. Twice I have ordered wine. The first time it never came; the second time it came at the end of the meal. There are other better restaurants in Astoria.

“Try the sampler platter”
Reviewed June 25, 2009

We are locals and go to Drina Daisy whenever we can. We also take all our guests that come in from out of town. They have something called the sampler platter and you get enough to feed however many people you have with you. It is amazing. You get to try almost everything and it comes on this georgous platter filled with fruits, veggies, and cheeses! This is not on the menu so you have to ask for it. It's the best way to go when you dont know exactly what to order.

“Always our first stop in Astoria”
Reviewed June 15, 2009

We always make Drina Daisy a stop on any visit to Astoria and often eat there more than once. Because of the attention that this ourstanding restaurant is getting our wait for dinner on Friday night was exceptionally long. Despite the slow service the food was outstanding as always. I recommend the roasted lamb but they also make a beef stuffed pastry that is to die for. I can honestly say that I have never had anything on their menu that I didn't like. At the risk of having to wait for you to eat before I get served, try Drina Daisy, you won't be sorry.

“What a great surprise”
Reviewed April 8, 2009

Based on Trip Advisor we stopped for lunch on a recent trip. Restaurant is on the main street of Astoria and is unassuming on the outside. Inside decor is right out of Croatia/Bosnia, complete with the music. I had the goulash and my wife had the cabbage rolls. Very authentic having just come back from Croatia. Goulash was all meat and seasoned nicely; a little zing but that's what makes a good goulash. A small salad came with the entree together with a nice selection of fresh fruit. Only one waiter but service was excellent. Will defintely go back.
