“Drink beer, don't plan on food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2009

We went to the brew pub in the off season and the restaurant was severely understaffed because of a wedding party. We got our own menus after standing around for 10 minutes and gave menus to a couple who had been there longer than we had. The food came quickly when we finally were able to order, but then we had poor service again in getting our check and nearly didn't pay. We delivered menus to three more people before trying to pay our bill. The person who ringed us up for our bill said thank you for your patience, but when we pointed out they needed more than 3 people waiting tables, he made the excuse of it being the off season. It was Valentine's day weekend and they had a wedding party, you would think they could have figured something out. We heard the manager was there, but not helping with service. If there is more than a few people in there, don't go for the food which was okay, but a litle expensive, go for the beer.

“Lack of service distracting...”

Seriously, the fact that there was a less than average number of people on a Saturday night, and yet every one was searching for a server was a buzz kill. Beer's good, food okay (kobe beef) but a pinch overpriced. But overall, if they get their act together it's a cool place to hang.

“Hit or Miss restaurant”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2008

While some of us had good food, others had seriously average food. The kobe beef burger was luscious, the blue heeler hotdog was amazing and the BLT was quite good too. The salads are seriously not good. The chicken was cold like it came from a packet in the fridge, which I'm quite sure it did. I guess if you go here, get the kobe beef burger or the hot dogs.

“Astoria Rogue Ales”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2008

We went to have a nice evening and brew and what we got was poor food service. First we wanted to order a pizza the waitress says she was out of pizzas since it was post holiday ( Tues evening should be restocked from the weekend) Then we wanted burgers the waitress says no buns just bread and kaiser rolls and out of ruebens and pita bread. So we say kaisers rolls fine for the burgers and salmon melt. What we got was toast for the buns on the burgers and melts which we didn't want. The waitress was like whats your problem and not at all apologetic for this meal that would cost close to ninety dollars and wasn't what we wanted. We ended up leaving and paying the 15 dollars for our 2 sodas and 2 beers and went down to the mexican restaurant down the road for a really nice meal where customer service still exists..
