Stopped for lunch, lovely day so we ate outside. Beer selection was excellent, very willing to bring you a sample before ordering. Ordered the mahi mahi fish tacos....actually very good....comes with four tortillas and the makings for tacos....you make your own. Side of chips. My wife had the black bean /quinoa salad....delicious. The place also caters to dogs....we're not dog owners but was nice to see the acceptance....even had dog items on the menu. Service was not that attentive but passable. Overall a pretty nice place.

View and location on the river in an old packing house is outstanding. Everything else went downhill from there though. Our waiter was slow and scarce. Food was slow to arrive and mediocre at best. Didn't really care for the beer even. They were out of a few of the better sounding options. Much better options in town.

One of the highlights of our trip to Oregon was a visit to the Rogue Ales Public House. We were visiting relatives who are really into craft beers as it seems most people are in this area. Driving out on the pier and viewing the Columbia river was amazing. Unfortunately, there were no seals that day but they are supposed to be all along the river there. Also, this is a converted Bumble Bee cannery with what could be described as a small museum to the former fishing and canning in this area. It is pet friendly. Follow the faded pink and blue footprints to the restrooms. The ladies room is the same as it was back in the canning days...that was an experience! We had lunch, which would probably come under the bar food description. But, quite obviously, this place is known for it's beer, ale, cider and more listed on a huge blackboard. Thankfully, our waiter made what proved to be excellent suggestions according to what each of our party was looking for. Also, he brought us tastings. It was a memorable afternoon!

Such a neat location, with 20 plus beers on tap what more can you ask for?
The pier itself deserves a walk around and just going to the bathroom means you have to follow the blue or pink line...

Have visted this place 4-5 times over the years and have had similar results each time. The view of course never changes, and is great. You drive out on a small one way bridge over the Columbia River to the restaurant as the whole place and surrounding business are out on the docks that used to house one of Astoria's many canneries. The views are great as you look west towards the Pacific Ocean along the Columbia River. Rogue has great beers and always a ton on tap. The food is for the most part what you would expect from any pub and while enver overally great, we have never been dissapointed as well. Make this a stop for the great view and beer, and while you are at it, have lunch or dinner too.
