Located on Astoria's famous River Walk, Buoy Beer Company should be your first and last stop for the best atmosphere and food in all of Astoria. Only open since February, hats off to the staff and management for organizing and preparing such a special facility. Having been raised and lived in New England for over forty years, and having owned a ten banquet-room hotel complex, I do appreciate and respect the efforts of any food service. Admittedly, I am a clam chowder snob and am always skeptical about any effort outside of my original six states. WOW! You can serve me a pot of your chowder. Forget about a mere cup or bowl. Never in the past thirty years since I relocated to the West Coast have I enjoyed and savored anyone's clam chowder more than yours. Additionally, major kudos to your salad preparer. Appraisingly, I watched her behind her counter working on our salads. I pride myself and am known for my ten to twenty ingredient dark green salads. I was outdone. For anyone reading this review and if you are planning an Astoria restaurant stop, run to the Buoy Beer Company on 8th Street. FIVE STARS!
