“Best Clam Chowder Ever”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

The title says it all. This was some of the best homemade clam chowder that I have ever eaten and I grew up on the coast eating it all the time. The other food was very good also.

“A taste of 'Ol England”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

One of he wonderful things about traveling to England are the pubs. Jill and Fenton opened ShIp Inn in 1974. The restaurant sits along Astoria's busy waterfront, and there is always something to watch going by the large picture windows. All seats have great views. Fish and chips are a must, and their homemade chowders are great too. Bangers and Mash and Sheppard's Pie are also on the menu.
The restaurant has a cozy lounge area. During the colder months the fireplace is inviting. Large overstuffed chairs are sitting together to create small intimate areas.
The wait staff are friendly and efficient. No long waits for your meal to be served. Overall it's a great dining experience.

“Special Memories”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

We have spent many happy evenings enjoying their fish & chips, river view and good company. This is our 10th year of making sure we eat our dinner at the Ship Inn. There isn't anything to dislike about the service or food.

“Great view & food”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

Looking for a good place to dine we looked at Bowpicker and it was closed for vacation so we tried Ship Inn. Great choice, amazing view and great food. Had the Seafood Combo (Halibut, Cod, Prawn and Scallops). Very good and then had to succumb to desert . Coconut Cream Pie to die for!!!! Service was good and view? Unfortunately it was a dark rainy evening but still enjoyed our time there.

“Astoria Fish and Chips”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

Driving thru here in torrential rain and howling wind storm, stopped at Safeway to get gas, Ship's Inn was recommended to us by the gas station attendant..found it and had lunch..was ok..good server...basic place to eat. Too many children screaming...not again.
