This was a very relaxing way to spend an hour, and the price was so very right! It was a bit crowded, but we eventually got to sit. This is not a mode of transportation, it is a delightful early 20th century-style tour. The two conductors/storytellers are funny and very sweet, I recommend this trip to everyone who gets to Astoria.

if you visit astoria a trolley ride is a must do. the people that tell you the history of the town and point out the goonies house too. our hosts at the rose river inn told us to just wave a dollar and they would stop, which they did. a lot of fun for a dollar.

I was told the trolley only offered rides during the weekend, but I was fortunate to ride because of a cruise ship and tall ships that visited Astoria the day of my visit. A great trolley, conductor was informative, and rich in history

OK, the trolley is neat and gets you around. However, the single trolley is completely incapable of supporting everyone who wants to use it on cruise days. While the city does try to supplement it with some shuttle buses, they only go to the maritime museum. We ended up mostly walking all day, being passed by more than once by the full trolley that couldn't let anymore on - it takes an hour for it to return. If you're good for walking, just do that. If not, plan on only going where the shuttle goes and skip the trolley. If you happen to be in town when a cruise ship is not, trolley away.

Hopped the Trolley in Astoria,I think it was a dollar to ride. old fashioned car. short ride, but very nice. They told you little tid bits about the town while you rode.
