We decided to treat ourselves here. The salmon was caught that morning very close to the restaurant and you could easily tell by the first bite. The atmosphere was very charming and you had views of the water. Service was wonderful. The server gave us great recommendations and even convinced us to get dessert. Warm cookies with ice cream on top was perfect to share. We wish there were more restaurant like this around!

We ate lunch at Baked Alaska last week. Everything was fine but the food was an un-even mix. The clam chowder was only so-so. The special Thai soup was delicious. The fish and chips was just fine. I had the chicken gorgonzola sandwich and it was scrumptious. The view is fantastic as you are looking out on the Columbia River with all the ship traffic and fishermen.
So, all in all I would give it a thumbs up with the proviso that you be careful about what you order for lunch.

Great restaurant right on the Columbia with a great view of the sunset over the river. Very friendly hostess, waitress, and servers. They offer a variety of breads to enjoy with olive oil, sea salt, and butter before the meal. My husband and I were debating the crab mac & cheese and "The Burger" so we got both and split them halfsies! I a very glad we did because the portions were big enough to do that and still be completely stuffed and both dishes were sooooo delicious!!! The "Chef's tasting menu" option looked like fun- 2 tables around us were trying it so we were eavesdropping a bit on their dinner results. I think we may entertain that option next time we come by.

Great little place! Thanks!

For sheer value for money, the $45 tasting menu was extraordinary. Very careful chef, flavours were impeccably balanced.Amazing rabbit bacon. Food portions were just right - and the matching wines really carefully chosen. We felt the chocolate pavé was the only slip, with candied bacon and Sriracha - more "interesting" than a must-repeat dish

It was a very nice place for lunch. It was reasonable and delicious. The owners ran a food cart in alaska and learned how to cook fish dishes. I believe they now have two restaurants in Astoria.
