“Would give it a 3.5 if I could!”

Stopped here for lunch on a Monday afternoon. Had the charcuterie plate with homemade bacon jam (which was delicious). My arugula salad was nice and fresh, and my husband enjoyed his pork belly sandwich. We were not crazy about the fondue - it tasted more like a jarred cheese sauce than something prepared fresh. I still ate it because - I mean...come on. It's cheese. The waitress did not seem super enthused to have us there and was not very chatty about our food options. The view was amazing though!

“A Perfect Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2014

Better late than never, right? My wife Bev and I visited this restaurant last September. We were RVing at Cannon Beach, and decided to go to Astoria for lunch. We found the restaurant quite by accident. We are in a kitchen store, and asked the proprietor where a good place was for lunch. She said right behind her shop. Her son or daughter owned it, she said. So we walked in and was immediately taken by the ocean view. The decor was very warm and inviting, with tables spread apart for almost intimate dining. There are two sides to the restaurant; one side served pizza, the other a fine dining room.
The server was a young lady by the name of Tara, and she was one of the best we have ever encountered. She knew so much about the food, and had a good knowledge of wine. The special of the day was a fish stew, similar to cioppino. It was a wonderful mix of seafood and fish, accompanied by some exceptional bread. This is a must-go-to restaurant, and we will be back again this coming September. Hope Tara will be there to serve us again.

“Interesting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2014

We visited this restaurant on the suggestion of hotel staff. Great location across the tram tracks and at the water's edge. This establishment has some interesting twists on traditional dishes - for us some worked and others did not. A plus was fish, really well cooked, but disappointingly served with Yukon Gold french fries that looked like they had come frozen from a not top-of -the-range supplier - perhaps I am just being fussy but when paying these prices I do expect quality in all aspects of my meal. But this place does have some good reviews so probably worth a look nonetheless, especially if you like that sort of location.

“Great service, yummy food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2014 via mobile

Had dinner here last night. Popped open a bottle of 2006 Cakebread wine to go with our steaks, which were prepared perfect! But the star of the food show was the crab Mac & cheese. Could have just had that and died. Gooey goodness, noodles not mushy perfect balance of flavor. It was spot on. Out server Ryan was helpful & kind. Did a great job. Well worth it.
