Service was knowledgeable and friendly. Food was good but a little on the greasy side (I had fish and chips), but the clam chowder was the best I've had on the Oregon coast. And the view of the river from either the restaurant or the deck is awesome. Great little find in Astoria.

Astoria boasts plenty of breweries and eateries and Baked Alaskasits on the top of the list for atmosphere and service.

We sat and gazed out at the mouth of the Columbia River while enjoying our bread service ($3). We had a choice of focaccia, sourdough and wheat breads with herbed butter, oil and balsamic, and a sea salt mix for toppers.

I ordered the fish and chips ($14) because I saw it in another table. It was light and thee breading was really tasty. It came with fresh cut fries. My husband had a big bowl of chowder ($8) and field green salad with pears and hazelnuts ($7). He said it was really good.

The service was the best part. Attentive but not obnoxious. We would come back.

We have eaten here many times - mostly dinner. Always, the service is knowlegeble and competent. The food is great and complex in seasonings. Our palates are always pleased. I rarely pay attention to the presentation, but here it is an art form. This time we reserved their signature desert - Baked Alaska. Almost liked the plate, but fear of my wife prevented such awful behavior.

Been here twice - once in August 2011 and again in July 2012. Excellent fresh food, oysters and salmon and tasty bread, as well as a wonderful view of the water and the birds.

Outstanding food, service and view. Clean, inviting atmosphere with beautiful views of the Columbia River. Service was prompt and friendly. Chowder was very good. Fish and chips are probably the best I've tasted. Flaky and lightly breaded. The sauce served with it really complements the fish. Prices are a little expensive but worth it.
