I'll start with the positives: Very courteous front desk staff, good location, clean lobby, pool looked inviting although we didn't use it, and they are very dog friendly. I would like to suggest two improvements...
1. The queen beds were dated and hard, not very comfortable. You need to upgrade your mattresses.
2. There was an instant moldy smell upon opening the door to room #106.
To be fair, I would like to mention we travel with our two small under 15lb dogs and often use Best Westerns up and down the west coast. In comparison, this was the worst smelling room in a BW we have ever slept in overnight. It wasn't from pet odor but rather smelled of musty damp mold like there had been some flooding problem or maybe constant wetness from the Oregon Coast weather which is why this was probably deemed a "pet friendly room". BTW, let's keep in mind you do charge a fair fee to cover the extra deodorizing cleansers and maid service it takes for providing a pet room so there should be no excuse for the odor if that is what it may have been. Either way, i'm giving this two stars for that reason. Everything else was deserving of an average rating.More
