Went to see the Peter Iredale ship wreck, didn't have enough time to see fort. Had a great time we walked around the ship and later sat around an abandoned bon fire with our dog.
One of the downsides was that water was way to cold to go in, it was nice that there were bathrooms. We would have stayed for hours, but I grabbed a log that was too close to the fire and I burnt my thumb badly so we went back to our Seaside hotel.
--Make sure to bring matches, kindling (there should be enough drift wood to use as firewood), a camera, coat, and a kite if you want.
--Check local tide charts and make sure to come at low tide
--The ship wreck is only a few hundred feet from a parking lot and rest rooms
