“Worth a visit”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

Fort Stevens State Park is big and really pretty. There are bike and walking paths, a good campground, a lake, beach access (& you can see the wreck of an old ship, the Peter Iredale). There are old World War II batteries, & a nice trail through the woods where I take my dogs to run every now & then.

“We love this campground!”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

We love Fort Stevens! We went for one week in July of 2012 and two weeks the following year. The Ranger Programs and Junior Ranger programs are great. The sites are nice. The staff is very friendly. We love biking and put on about 10 to 20 kilometres a day on the trails. If you don't have a bike, you might not like the walk to the beach. The only drawback is the mosquitoes.

“A bit of bueautiful, untouched Pacific Northwest coast”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Fort Stevens Park is a must for anyone traveling along the Pacific coast in NW Oregon. This is a beautiful area worth exploring on foot or bicycle. It offers campgrounds and it is relatively close to Astoria so one can easily get anything he/she needs. I'd recommend spending a good part of day there. Bring your bicyclse and ride from one point of the park to the next. It is much more enjoyable on foot or bike rather than driving around from one attraction to the next. the only drawback is that ATWs and off-road vehicles (Jeeps, etc.)are allowed on the beach and that simply destroys the quiet feeling.

“West Coast”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Stayed two nights Sept. 19th and 20th. Campground was in very good condition. Spaces were acceptable. The rain can be a little bit of a bother but you are in Oregon. The trails both walking and bicycling were truly excellent. Very well maintained park. Great value as are most of the Oregon State Parks.
