Wow, what can you say about this VERY LONG structure that hasn't already been said - except just don't miss it! And take pictures of it from the top of the hill at the Astoria Column!

OK - my experience of The Golden Gate Bridge was marred by fog, but Astoria bridge is fab! A tunnel of latticed green steel that takes you from Washington to Oregon. I'm not a bridge aficionado, but I can't remember the last time I enjoyed crossing one this much.

This might be a nice bridge but she looks like she needs a lot of TLC and costly maintenance. Makes the Chesapeake Bay Bridge look brand new.

This bridge scares me because I don't like heights, but it is nice to drive over. Had an interesting experience driving over with road construction going on. Got stopped at the top of the bridge. You can certainly feel the wind blowing up there!

Was very interesting and if you like bridges, you will love it. If you don't, close your eyes. I loved the look and the similarity to Golden Gate.
