Stumbled upon the Fort George on a rainy Sunday night. Excellent choice of beers, ales, and stouts. Good, basic food well prepared.
Live band, I have to say, was pretty loud for middle-aged ears, but you can sit downstairs and dull the sound a bit.
I'd definitely go back.

I stopped in the FGB about 10 pm on a week night. My server was both friendly and helpful with schooling me on the wide variety of beers. I had the biggest cheeseburger on the menu, which didn't quite fill me up, but was delicious. I went with the chips and salsa over the usual fries and was glad about that. The salsa had a nice kick to it, was home made, and very fresh. They take pride in what they do here. If you're looking for a good place to eat in a town that shuts down kind of early, this is THE place for you.

The food and drinks beer was good! The chowder was really different and should have a description on the menu. The service was okay. We would go back. Love the view.

Visiting from out of town for the weekend. I am a big beer fan and enjoyed the brew Quick Wit, thanks to a recommendation of the barkeep. We had a brand new server, still in orientation and he rocked!!! They are lucky to have him. Enjoyed the house-made sausage very much as well.
