Short distance form the Maritime Museum. Tasty Vector IPA with a good salad and veggie chili. Popular with locals and tourists. Be sure to check out the bathrooms!

We were welcomed immediately, our waiter was friendly, explaining the different beers on tap. Great choice of food, try the rock fish tacos, they were really good.. Put this public house on your "list" when you visit Astoria!

During a day stop in Astoria from a cruise ship, we visited the Ft George Public House, located in an interesting historic building near the old Fort Astoria (George), Fortunately we arrived about 11:30 on a weekday, for in a half hour it was standing room only!

Our group of four enjoyed a variety of the then 18 craft beers on offer, with my husband quickly choosing the 8 glass sampler and enjoying many of the varieties on his board. The other 3 of us took advantage of the small "taster" glasses of a few possibilities, and picked our glasses of beer from those. Tho I am not much of a beer drinker, I completely enjoyed my full glass of a light lager.

Our food choices were also tasty and my spouse loved his sampler of homemade sausages. I chose the smoked turkey sandwich with local apples, havarti and a rosemary aoli and was glad I did! Our companions liked the clam chowder especially.

Make a point to visit for both beer and food. Many activities, such as music and special parties can be enjoyed here, so take advantage if you live nearby or are in the area. Their website is full of helpful information on beers, food and fun!

Went to Fort George Brewery for lunch on a rainy Monday in early November. They have a great selection of beer and a fairly good selection of food.

We had the burritos and the portions were very generous. The food came quickly, was hot and very tasty.

The service was very good too. My sister wanted to buy a t-shirt and even though my sister had difficulty making a decision, the waitress was very helpful and patient.

I'm told it gets pretty busy on weekends and in the summer but it was not real busy when we were there. That's OK by us. If you want good food, good service and good atmosphere, go the the Fort Geroge Brewery in Astoria.

Tried several great beers. The food was also very good, especially liked the verde burrito. Fun old building. Make sure to look up at the huge beams holding the roof up.
