“Loved the tuna fish and chips!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2014

Long wait, but once we got the fish and chips was well worth it! Such a grand taste and texture of the fish. Be sure to order the 5-piece as you will wish you had! Cute little place where they serve out of an old boat. We ate in the car as there were only two park benches--but we didn't mind. Kind of fun, actually. And the people running the place were very friendly and fun.

“Amazing!”

Wow! They are amazing! The tiny space they work in and the excellent fish and chips! Loved the fries - tasted like homemade even better - so crispy! Would do it again in a heartbeat!

“Really nice stop while camping at Fort Stevens”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014

This place was recommended by a coup[le of friends. We were camping at Fort Sevens State Park and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The fish is fresh caught Albacore Tuna off the coast of Oregon and Washington a nice change from Halibut or Cod most places serve. The fish was just lightly battered and it was obvious the oil was fresh. The fries were standard fare. If you don't like tuna, you will like this place, if you like tuna you will LOVE this place.

The atmosphere is "funky" it is an old 1940 Columbia River Gill-netting boat and you walk up to order. They do have 3 or 4 picnic tables which fill up fast. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays (we found out the hard way). If you go, their hours are from "11-ish" until 6:00 pm or until they run out of fish. GET THERE EARLY !! We went at 11:15 and there were only three groups ahead of us but by the time we left, the line was down the street.

I would recommend this place to anyone (unless you abhor tuna and are not willing to try something new).

“Best Fish & Chips ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2014

This is a must when in Astoria. Best fish & chips ever! Cute little river boat (cleverly) converted into a quick little kitchen. Nothing fancy but really good food.

You walk up steps on one side of the deck - get your food - go down the other side. No inside seating, just a couple of picnic tables. Very basic but great fish (Tuna).

Don't pass this by.

“Worth the Wait”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2014

We were on a drive around the city, just looking at some of the places we wanted to see on this trip through town when we happened upon this gem. We saw a lengthy line, but that told us something special was on the menu...albacore and chips. We waited, chatted with others in line and moved slowly toward the boat (yes, a boat) to order - large or half-order. Three tables, lots of shade if you have a blanket to spread, across the street from the waterfront, and soda served in the can. Nothing fancy, just the best fish and chips hubby and I have ever tasted. Soooo worth the 40-minute wait for the tastiest, freshest fish ever!
