“Worth An Hour or So”

I'm going to start by saying I'm not the biggest fan of these types of outings, but my guy is so I try to find them for him

There's a couple videos they show & you can tour the fort as well as see some historical items on display. It's worth a stop for an hour or so if you're in to these types of places or someone you love is; not an all day outing by any means

This is a very fun place to visit. Volunteers are great and there is so much to learn about the Lewis and Clark Expedition. This is a fantastic place for kids! Hands on learning at its best.

“A great Lewis and Clark Intro”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2013

I took my family of four kids from age teenage to 4. The host at the visitor center was very helpful to tailor the experience. The videos and displays were enjoyed by all. There was face painting for the kids. The replica of the fort complete with bunks, skins and blankets was enjoyed by the kids. There are demonstrations throughout the day such as the firing of a flintlock rifle from the era.

“It was just okay”

The rangers were very nice and the Fort was OK - definitely well-constructed but not much to really see. The grounds are beautiful and the hike is good.

“Lewis & Clark”

You may remember a few details about the Corps of Discovery; visit Ft. Clatsop to refresh your memory and imagine what it must have been like to cross from St. Louis to the mouth of the mighty Columbia. This is an excellent park with dedicated volunteers sharing their love of the history of the area.
