We really enjoyed the exhibits here. It's a "must see". You even get a free (self-guided) tour of a Lightship at the dock. Lots of informative exhibits, well maintained.

Lot's of very interesting details about the harrowing entrance to the Columbia river. Definitely worth the admission!

The water has been my whole life. I ran a charter fishing business for 35 years on Lake Erie. I ,ve been in many maritime museums all arround the country. The museum was impressive--well thought out -- any very informative. The artifacts and history was exceptionaly entertaining. The videos were awsome and kept you spell bound when you get the feel of the dangerous conditions near the mouth of the Columbia River. Being a history buff -- i enjoyed the heck otta this museum. It,s a must see if in this area.

The museum is well thought out and beautifully displayed. It is so interesting to learn about a town that certainly had an amazing past. The staff is unfriendly and display no enthusiam (typical of Oregon) and are not available for questions. There could be more welcoming displays to spark interest and someone knowledgeable for historic inquiries. More kid friendly exhibits would allow adults to enjoy reading and learning. Why not an outside vendor for drinks, snacks and espresso/coffee??? Make it a happier place to visit. The 3D film on sharks was dull, with no color and rather boring. It is not what one expects from a shark film. Nice message could be made more appealing by a colorful reef and some action.

They have done a wonderful job of showcasing the hazards involved in Crossing the Bar of the Colombia river. Also honoring the Coast Guard rescue boats and swimmers. What brave men!!
