Extremely well done, informative, and interesting and well organized. Great 3-D movie about sharks. Spent over three hours there.

“Interesting museum with many videos, boats and interactive displays”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2013

This museum was very interesting and unique. We enjoyed the many videos of the dangerous river into ocean area. I thought the fish canning information was interesting also. Touring the coast guard boat docked outside was the most interesting part to my older teenagers. I would allow 2 hours to see it all.

“Fascinating History of the Area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

A well planned out and executed museum with full size ships even inside, to give you an accurate look at what it was like in the early boom days of the salmon hatchery in Astoria!

“Sharks 3-D film”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2013

Current playing - Jean Michel Cousteau's film. It shows film of sharks of the world with incredible 3-D footage. Shots inside a shark's mouth, fish schooling to avoid shark attack and the narration by a sea tortoise are just some of the highlights. This film is at the museum for a limited time. You can see the 42 minute film for $5 if you don't want to see the entire museum. Excellent!!

“Educational and worth going once”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

They have done a really good revamping this museum. I found out some interesting facts about how those huge tankers manage through the gorge. They have an interesting film and life size displays. I don't think kids under 7 will appreciate the museum as older kids thus the 4 stars. It is easy to find along the main drag of Astoria proper.
