I suppose every review is a reflection of the reviewer. If you expect only a roof over your head and nothing horrible to happen during the night, this Ramada will probably serve your needs. However, it was sold to me as a 3 star property and clearly it is not. Hotel has a horrid layout. It is an external entrance motel that has had the exterior entrances sealed up behind walls, presumably for security reasons. Built in 1984, it has old and tired common areas and exterior, straight out of the first Reagan administration. Interior of our room had been updated and was mostly okay, but cleanliness was just so so. Our tub contained hair and there was dust all over the place. This motel / hotel is secured like the Iraqi embassy with nearly every exterior door barred, even during broad daylight. A precious few doors will open with your room key. Most will not open at all. It is extremely irritating to get around this place, especially during rain. You haven't lived until you are out in a torrential downpour pulling on locked doors wondering how to get into one of three separate buildings with exterior entrances. The breakfast was admittedly above average with lots of hot food and fresh fruit, but in every other way, this place is NOT worthy of three stars and is in NO WAY comparable to your average 3 star property. It was nearly empty for our visit and I suspect no one stays here but cheapskate Priceline bidders (like me) and folks who can't get their pets into nicer properties. If you are used to staying at a Motel 6 or Super 8 or Days, this place will be an upgrade and a maybe even a good value. If you are used to staying at three star properties and expect this to be one of them, don't look twice. You will be sorely disappointed. This place bills itself as a 3 star property and so I have rated it as such. Any Fairfield, Hampton, Hyatt or even Holiday will be a huge improvement over this tired tavern.

Thank you for sharring your opinion with us. My team and I take a lot of pride in our property, we are an exterior building but we have secured perimeter doors for your safety. I am sorry it caused any inconvience but we do this to prevent unwanted guests from entering. We hope next time you book you will call us direct instead of those other parties and let me personally help make your stay a positive experience. For the record I was a fan of the Reagan administration.
All the best,

Normally I shy away from Ramada Inns due to the conditions of some I have recently encountered. This hotel is the exception for several reasons. The location is right off I-295 but traffic noise has never been an issue. You get a FREEE FULL BREAKFAST, self-served, that rivals a cruise ship. The view of the large interior court, with pool, makes it an even better experience. The hotel is home to a COMEDY ZONE comedy club. Often they have name acts. Tom Arnold was there last week. Henry Cho is coming as is Jimmy "J. J." Walker. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, although you may seem some signs of age if you look hard enough.
The staff is always friendly. The doors leading to the interior court and the upper floor rooms have a security system. To have to swipe your room card to get in. Even during mid-day. I have no problems recommending anyone stay at this site. Especially families! About a mile south is an "Ollie Kowalie" amusement center (yea, I have no idea how they spell that little animals name). It is a "Buster and David" for kids. Near by is a Steak and Shake (you can walk there).

Room Tip: Ask for room facing the pool or on the second floor. That puts you inside the security access doors.

Wow, If our readers didn't Know better they would have thought I wrote it myself. Thank you for telling the world about your great stay here at the Ramada. Sometimes the name and our two story exterior corridor confuses folks about the quality within. The Mandarin community is a great place for our property and our Comedy club does host some of the biggest stars in the industry. We looking forwrd to your return visit in the near future...
