“Excellent hotel and location!”
Reviewed July 12, 2012

We brought a high school girls basketball team here to play in a local camp. The rooms were wonderful, clean, perfect temperature. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, right off 9A , short drive to UNF and also close to Town Center. Great restaurants next door: Outback, Sneakers, Sticky Fingers to name a few. The breakfast is fabulous in the hotel!A lot of hot foods and they were different from Saturday to Sunday which was great! There were a lot of teams staying the weekend we went and they never ran out of food, always brought more out and very friendly breakfast staff. Wonderful experience and the girls really enjoyed their time at this hotel. Thanks Hampton inn on Baymeadows and 9A!

Traveled 500 miles to this hotel and was quite satisfied. Got a good AAA price and was pleased by the size of the larger room I reserved. This gave quite a bit of room for my 2 year old daughter to run around. Service was excellent and the room was clean. Pool was outdoor and surprisingly too cold to use in mid-June! The pool area was clean and well kept. The hotel is near St. John Center, which is HUGE area for dining, shopping, and moving around. This place was very busy and I suggest doing some research before heading over. It is only 10 minutes away in traffic. Enjoy your stay!

Room Tip: Go for the larger size king room and you will not be disappointed.

Very large "suite" with a living area and workspace all in one big room. Outside vanity and wetbar, flat screen TV, 2 A/C units. Everything was new and clean, staff was friendly, large nicely appointed breakfast area. Literally 7-8 restaurants plus grocery and gas station within walking distance. Right off I-295 East Beltway at Baymeadows, safe neighborhood.

We traveled with another couple as we headed to Ft Lauderdale for a cruise, we had 2 rooms a double (219) and a suite (310) both rooms were accumulate, the beds were super comfy, the first impression when we went in was "wow" very posh and well appointed. The double queen/king room was very comfortable and the suite had extra bath area, wet bar and king bed. Both baths had marble counter tops and tile floors, very clean. Everyone was very friendly and breakfast was served on top and the staff was great there as well. The breakfast was great and hot breakfast with Omelets, sausage links, biscuits & gravy, french toast sticks, waffles, boiled eggs, fruit, pastries, juice, coffee, hot chocolate and tea. You definitely would not leave hungry.
It is very close to shopping and dining, the neighborhood was just upscale. Plus there was Shuttle bus available for transfers to/from cruise terminals. They had a pool but we didn't observe it as it was late when arrived and early when we left.

Room Tip: The hotel appeared to be in excellent condition, we had rooms 219/310 and they were very quiet.

Stayed here for 2 nights with a family for four for a combination high school track meet/college visit to the Univeristy of North Florida. The hotel is only a few minutes from I-295, and was clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking and the area seemed safe and well lit. The room was clean, included 2 queen beds and a spacious work desk. Plenty of outlets for re-charging all the electronics associated with 2 teen-agers. The breakfast was standard Hampton, better( and more crowded)on Saturday over Friday. Very central location, only 10 minutes to the University, and numerous dining options very close by. Fitness center was small but had the basics, treadmills, eliptical, bike, multi-purpose weight machine and a few free weights. Pool area was nice but pool was small and not heated(cold, even in late April). No hot tub or spa. The hotel was on a list provided by the university and we were eligible for a fantastic rate. Great value. Would definately recommend as a place to use as a home base when staying in the area, i.e. breakfast and a place to sleep at night.

Room Tip: Ask for room on quiet side of hotel. Seemed like rooms on either end would tend to be more affected...

I stayed here for one night because the hotel next door was booked but I regret not staying here for my entire trip. The amenities aren't great but the price is really low so the value is great. My room was clean, the staff was friendly and the room was quiet. The only issue I have is the water pressure in the bathroom is low.

My daughters volleyball team just stayed at this hotel and it was a very nice stay. This is a clean hotel. The staff allowed the ladies to move tables around in the breakfast area at night and have a team bonding pillowcase painting session. The breakfast is a simple breakfast, but the waffles and fruit were a hit. There is always coffee and hot water ready to go in the lobby and PLENTY of towels in the room when you get there. We needed more shampoo and conditioner and it was NO PROBLEM. The pool is VERY VERY small, more the size of a small hot tub, which the girls were a little disappointed in. Great location and close to the malls and 295 and I95.

Room Tip: Stay away from the rooms in the front of the hotel. They have speed bumps and many of the parents sa...
