Mostly seafood with a Cajun flair. Be warned -- portions are large. There is nothing healthy on the menu. I dream of their sloppy roast beef po" boy. The setting isn't that great but that way you can concentrate on the food. It can get a little loud if there is any Louisiana football on (Saints or Tigers).

DO NOT GO! Looking at the bill, you'd think Emeril's in the kitchen. Looking at the food, not enough to feed a 2 year old! Very disappointing.

A new Gumbo Ya Ya opened on the West Side on Blandng Blvd tonight. We went because The Big Band that used to be at Harmonious Monks was going to be there.

Gumbo Ya Ya would seem to be an upscale watering hole for the West Side.
It is not a good place to go to to listen to jazz because of the high noise level. Most of the people there don't listen to the music, when the music starts they just talk louder. Because of the lay out of the room, about half the people can't see the band.

Mixed drinks were extremely weak, like there was almost no alcohol in them.

There were big errors in our bills, and the errors didn't seem to be by accident. I believe it is a scam.

Suggest you don't go to this place, but if you do - find out how much drinks cost, keep track of what you have ordered, and CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE YOU PAY.
