“Short Tour But Excellent Hospitality!”

Budweiser Brewery Experience
Reviewed February 18, 2013

The free tour was short and definitely not as good as the St. Louis Brewery but you can see the bottling facility and find out about the history of the company. What made the tour worth it was the hospitality room afterwards. They give you 2 samples out of a wide variety of beers to taste and even give you pretzels! These aren't your normal sample sizes, they are full glasses. There's also a gift shop on site where you can purchase merchandise and beer. Just tip your bartender since it's basically a free experience.

This is a free tour of the Jacksonville Bud brewery. There are two optional pay tours, a $10 beer school tour and a $25 Brewmaster tour for the real fan of Bud beer. The free tour takes you on a walk past windows showng the equipment used to brew, process and package the beer. It includes a short video, a history of Budweiser and a beer sample in their tasting room. The Brewmaster tour gives a more on-the-floor, behind-the-scenes experience. A few times a year they have the famous Clydesdales on display. The free tour lasts about an hour and they run continuosly through the day every 45 minutes. No appointment needed for the free tour; lots of free parking available. If you want to see how beer is brewed these days, check it out. The price is right!

We made the normal tour, which is very interesting too. It was nice at the end of the tour to taste some of all the different beers.

This was our second time to the brewery and it was even more fun the second time around! Our tour guide (I think his name was Roger, but don't quote me on that) was entertaining and knew a lot about the history behind the famous beer. The brewery is incredibly clean, there are signs everywhere to make sure you don't get lost, and the employees are very welcoming (you can tell they enjoy what they do). At the end of the tour, you can visit the hospitality room where you are given two free beers (your choice). I recommend the "Wild Black" and the "Michelob Amberbock," both are great but it's really your preference and they have a wide range to choose from. Even if you don't like beer, visiting the brewery is well worth a visit to Jacksonville just to see the process by which the beer is made and packaged. It's pretty exciting!

We took the free tour while visiting from out of town and found it very enjoyable. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and it was interesting to hear her explain the history of the Anheuser-Busch company.

Once the tour is over, the hospitality room awaits, where you can sample free beer as well as non-alcoholic drinks. There is also a gift shop where many different items can be purchased.

They do not have any Clydesdales at this location (so if you are ever in NH, be sure to visit the factory tour in Merrimack) but the grounds were well kept and the statue of Larry makes for a great photo opportunity.
