“Fairly Nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2012

I've eaten at the Tomatoe many times and the food was always fresh. This place used to offer free chicken on its salad bar for free now they make you pay for it. For the prices Sweet Tomatoes charges it could bring back the free chicken on the salad bar. You wont find any bums or loud mouth creeps in this place and it's safe.

“Salad buffet and more”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2011

Every time I go out of town I look for one of these to eat at. We don't have them in TN. Very good variety on the salad buffet, although you have to pay extra for "premium toppings". There are at least 5 different soups to choose from. Love the ice cream! Only thing about this location that disappoints is that they only bring around cookies at dinner. Every other location I have been to serves them at lunch also. Despite that I would come back, the service is very good.

“Vegetarian Cafeteria?”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2011

I have no complaints about the staff or management, they are doing their best to put together the lowest-quality ingredients with a limited staff. I will warn anyone with a palate that this is not the salad bar at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods.... I would wager nothing at Sweet Tomatoes is made fresh on premises. The toppings include; mashed eggs, tasteless waxy shredded cheese, yellow croutons and tasteless orange colored tomatoes. To top it off all of the dressings had the viscous consistency of mayonnaise... even the oil and vinegar.
The pizza was like a dinner roll topped with something resembling government-issued cheese and tomato paste. The penne-pasta tasted like it was frozen than re-hydrated in a microwave. I topped off my meal with low-fat chocolate frozen yogurt that tasted like frozen cake batter. The atmosphere is like any buffet restaurant with laminated tables, bright overhead lights and fake plants. Cousin Eddie would be happy eating here, I wasn't. Sweet Tomatoes is good for someone with no palate who likes to waste his/her money on carbohydrates, salt and sugar.

“Great food, and slightly...”

Great food, and slightly more than just salads. It could be a little cleaner, but is a good value for the money.
