For those of you who have not dined at Matthew's in the past, you will be thoroughly impressed with this restaurant. It has a great ambience and the interior is furnished beautifully not to mention the delicious, quality food. We have celebrated many occasions here in the past 15 years. For my birthday, we again dined here. On the menu were several pastas which were never offered in the past. In addition, there was seafood, steaks and other entrees. We enjoyed a buffalo mozzarella appetizer. It was presented beautifully and the flavor was outstanding. We chose seafood entrees-turbot and arctic char. Each was prepared perfectly and we ordered three vegetables a la carte-green beans, fingerling potatoes and brussel sprouts, We shared a bottle of albarino (white Spanish wine), coffees and cheesecake. The waiter provided excellent descriptions and assisted us with making our dinner selection. If you ever get the chance order the grand marnier souffle--it is the best I have ever had--anywhere. I am sure that the changes to the menu were required by the economy to appeal to more customers. There were many business dinners taking place the night we dined. It is a wonderful place to dine but we miss the specialties that were offered with the old Matthew's menu.
