“A must brunch spot every visit to area!”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

This is the second spot in Jax for the Metro Diner. I love the space inside and outside on the deck under the fans. Dog-friendly with plenty of food options for every member of the family. A must do!

“It lives up to the hype!”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

Eat here twice for breakfast while in Jax for a weekend family reunion. I had seen the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives episode so I was excited to try it. The first day I had the Chicken and waffles. OMG! Perfectly cooked crispy chicken, so juicy and flavorful. A light and crispy Belgian waffle. But what really made it "off the hook" was the combination of syrup and Louisiana hot sauce the waitress mixed up to dip the chicken in. Hot and sweet and awesome! I got the half order which is still huge. Only order the full if you are a competitive eater or are sharing. My daughter had the Yo Hala stuffed French toast. Again a huge portion, perfectly cooked. The crème cheese stuffing was just right and didn't overpower the bread. So we went back the next morning with my other daughter and son in law in tow. I had the biscuits and gravy. Top notch! Smooth creamy gravy over a couple of fluffy, flavorful biscuits. This is the way this southern staple should be made! My daughter had the cinnamon raisin pecan French toast. Another home run! They just do it right. The other daughter and her husband had the Huevos Rancheros. A little different style as the tortillas are deep fried. I was too stuffed to try it but they both raved about it and neither could finish it. There will probably be a line, but it turns over fast and is absolutely worth the wait!

“GREAT Breakfast”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

The best hash browns I've ever had! All of the breakfast and lunch items are execellent. I highly recommend...but you must be willing to wait for a table--very popular place.

“Must Try - It Is Out Of This World”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

You really have to try this place. They serve breakfast and lunch. Very clean inside and out. It is a typical diner and fantastic food. Make sure to read the entire menu, because they have so many different plates to chose from. The servers are super quick and ready to please. The kitchen is open and you can see the cooks in progress. There is only one downside and that is like most diners, they are loud. But don't let that keep you away. Enjoy.

Their breakfast is outstanding. Hearty, generous portions keep the crowds happy. French toast and Chicken and Waffles are stars of the show.
