I didn't have the pleasure of eating here, but I did enjoy a very nice glass of wine at the rooftop bar. The seating was plush, lovely and allowed for conversation. Everyone was friendly. Overall it was a very nice quality restaurant/bar. I would certainly go back.

Living on the Southside of Jacksonville it's easy to lose touch with the dining scene on the west of the river and Black Sheep was a nice surprise. The menu is unusual - featuring many dishes and sides not often to be found elsewhere such as Bar-B-Q Duck Sandwich, Peruvian Ceviche, and Wild Mushroom & Blue Cheese Bread Pudding. Local farms are credited with providing most of the produce and everything tasted as fresh as that should imply. The ambience is lively without being too noisy and the service was good - the servers explained the dishes very clearly.

Black Sheep burst onto the Jacksonville dining scene one year ago, and has been providing wonderful food in a hip, modern atmosphere ever since. My go-to restaurant for myself, and for anyone who wants to put their finger on the pulse of the city's dining scene.

Went by with a colleague after hearing that the rooftop bar was perfect for a happy hour drink. The weather was perfect so we headed up to the roof (indoor bar looked nice too). There were good beers on tap and a few custom cocktails available on the HH menu. We took a look at the menu and decided to turn their appetizer menu into a tapas experience. Here's what we went with:
Crapcake
Poutine
Fried Olives
Mac n Cheese
Ceviche
Pork Rinds

Was pleasantly surprised with everything on the list, especially the poutine and the pork rinds. The food is a bit pricey, but completely reasonable for the quality of the offering. Will be visiting again.

Menu is a little lacking. But I love the Green Goddess salad! Sat on the roof and service was a little slow. I ordered hot tea and I honestly think she forgot about it because she came back to the table three times before she returned with it. Nice view. Great location. Parking is hard to find, though.
