Review of Intuition Ale Works - MOVED

Intuition Ale Works
Attraction details
Reviewed April 21, 2014

Intuition Ale Works is located in a dismal looking gray building along the railroad tracks in a somewhat run-down neighborhood. The inside of the bar is very welcoming, cozy and clean. The beer selection is vast and listed on large chalkboards hanging from the walls. The service is good. Wine, soda and potato chips were the only other beverages/snacks available. The prices are very reasonable.

Intuition has a boutique feel with a charming tasting room. The ambiance sets a mood for hanging out and enjoying a brew! There are games available as well to play. In contrast, some of the other breweries in town appear to be in strip malls/retail locations. I'm not sure of the appeal for that, but maybe I'll check them out at some point.

Most important of course is the quality of the brew! And, the beer is definitely flavorful. Surprisingly, they have a large selection of beer(about 15-20 brews on tap). There's a nice variety of styles and some unique combos. In contrast, I ventured over to the larger elder brewery down the block and was unimpressed by their small selection and lack of flavor.

I hope this brewery grows in distribution! They probably have the 2nd largest selection after Cigar City in the state of Florida. Staff is great and informative.

Hard to find, but worth the trip. If your lucky, you might find the Underdark. I love good beer and this is better than good.

$8 flight is the way to go! 30oz of beer and you get to try 6. I recommend punk monk if it's still in.

This is a great local brewery as well. Locally owned, locally run, great beer! Off the beaten path...,well worth the stop if you are in the Jacksonville area...
