“Great venue!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is a historic building that was restored. It is beautiful. We have been to many concerts their including ZZ Top, Peter Framptom, BB King, Slash, Kenny Way Shephard, and other favorites. It is not too big so you have a good view from everywhere. We like the first row on the balcony. Go and have fun. It's a great place.

“Very Interesting Setting for Concerts”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013

This is an old historic movie theatre in the downtown Jacksonville that has been converted into a concert forum. What I like about the theatre is that it has retained that old charm and elegance and yet still it is great concert hall for a few thousand patrons. Last night I saw Kenny Rogers give an excellent concert here. In the past I have seen such stars as Peter Noone (from Herman's Hermits), Foreigner, Alice Cooper, Grass Roots, etc perform in this theatre and the theatre has performed well for these acts. I do not know if tours are given of the theatre outside of concert performances.

“Went to see Willie Nelson”

W enjoy the Florida Theatre and respect the people who are responsible for keeping this theatre running and attracting top entertainers like Willie and the Boys. We will be back to see Kenny Rodgers also appearing this month.

“Great Venue”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

We saw Willie Nelson at the Florida Theater this weekend.

It is a beautiful old 1920's movie palace that has been lovingly restored. The ceiling is impressive with what appear to be carved panels.

The acoustics were very good.

And if you arrive a bit early there is a lot with inexpensive parking ($5) a half block away.

Attended a concert at the Florida Theatre and was pleasantly surprised at the beautifully restored venue. Great seats just about anywhere, clean, and good acoustics. Enjoyed our concert and this beautiful theatre helped make it even better!
