Description: Pinegrove Market and Deli has been a neighborhood icon in Jacksonville, Florida for over 40 years. Both deli and one of Jacksonville's last-standing independent butcher shops, the moment you step into our door, you're taken away to a market with a family charm. Personal attention is given to each and every order. From the carefully-chosen quality ingredients we use (some of which you will not find anywhere else), to the hand-crafted deli items, famous soups and delicious daily-ground burgers, we hope that Pinegrove will continue to impress! DON'T MISS: This is the only deli in Jacksonville that dry ages premium USDA beef cuts in-house for a quality that rivals a 5-star steakhouse!

Great local deli! Wow. I've had quite a few of their sandwiches and they're all amazing. Highly recommend the Chicken Philly, their Cuban or their burgers (which are hand-ground FRESH from their butcher shop!). Best burger in town hands down. Great mom and pop atmoshphere.

Go here often and the sandwiches are all good but the cuban is the best, with Packo's pickles for that extra kick!

Tiny little institution in a very pretty neighborhood. Can't go wrong if looking for a great hamburger or sandwich. Very good breakfast too.

This "deli" is in a residential neighborhood and popular (??!!) with tradespeople for lunch. Place an order at the counter, give them your name and wait for the call, which, when they are busy, can be a while. There is limited seating and the cleanliness of the table depends, to a large degree, upon who ate there before you. The food is average at best and inconsistent within the menu, which is surprisingly pricey. There are alot of better places to get a sandwich!

We apologize that you had a sub-par experience at Pinegrove. We have been operating for well over 40 years and have been a neighborhood institution drawing a loyal following from the surrounding areas as well as regionally. We pride ourselves with high-quality ingredients and a strong focus on genuine, service. Everyone who walks in is family. We are not only a deli, but one of the last independent butcher shops in Jacksonville, and the only one that dry-ages the finest cuts of beef in-house.

On that note, it's truly unacceptable to us that you felt this way, and if you are open to giving us another chance we'd love to buy you lunch and make it right. Just ask for Sal the next time you're in. He'll pick-up your lunch and send you home with a wonderful sampler pack for your to enjoy.

Good deli in the heart of Avondale. It's a very old school place stuck in the middle of a residential neighborhood. If you're not looking for it, you may miss it. They easily make the best Cubano I've ever had--maybe even one of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

I gave it 4 stars instead of 3 for a few reasons: (1) I've only tried one item here, the Cubano, (2) it gets kind of expensive (once you add a side and a drink, you're moving into the $12-15 dollar range for lunch per person), and (3) they're wildly inconsistent. Sometimes my sandwich comes out perfectly. Sometimes it comes out soggy and wet. Worth checking out though, as I continue to go back.

Thank Ben P
