Description: Pinegrove Market and Deli has been a neighborhood icon in Jacksonville, Florida for over 40 years. Both deli and one of Jacksonville's last-standing independent butcher shops, the moment you step into our door, you're taken away to a market with a family charm. Personal attention is given to each and every order. From the carefully-chosen quality ingredients we use (some of which you will not find anywhere else), to the hand-crafted deli items, famous soups and delicious daily-ground burgers, we hope that Pinegrove will continue to impress! DON'T MISS: This is the only deli in Jacksonville that dry ages premium USDA beef cuts in-house for a quality that rivals a 5-star steakhouse!

Good deli in the heart of Avondale. It's a very old school place stuck in the middle of a residential neighborhood. If you're not looking for it, you may miss it. They easily make the best Cubano I've ever had--maybe even one of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

I gave it 4 stars instead of 3 for a few reasons: (1) I've only tried one item here, the Cubano, (2) it gets kind of expensive (once you add a side and a drink, you're moving into the $12-15 dollar range for lunch per person), and (3) they're wildly inconsistent. Sometimes my sandwich comes out perfectly. Sometimes it comes out soggy and wet. Worth checking out though, as I continue to go back.

This deli / neighborhood market is a house or garage conversion. Unless you've been told where to find it, you'll miss it. We stopped in today for a sandwich. You order at the counter, give them your name, and sit down at a table. When they call your name, you pick up your food basket, swing by the iced tea station, and sit down. You might be sitting at a table with locals, business people, or FSCJ students. The restaurant is located near the Kent Campus off Roosevelt Blvd. The food is great, the service is better. Thanks guys!
