Perfect experience, especially for great price/value. Be sure to indicate on Hampton Inn website that you have AAA or AARP membership, as that lowered the price of a Double Queen bed room to $92 a night, which the agent at the 800 number said was not available on her site ("so grab it"). We had room #210 as requested , closest to the elevator and ice/snack machines, but no noise. The location of hotel is perfect for reaching the beach, shopping and Mayo Clinic in 5-10 minutes (there is also a hotel shuttle available, but i don't know the cost, or if free). The fitness room/gym is also great, small , but with machines that actually work properly (1 tread-mill, 1 elliptical , 1 recumbent bike, 1 bench and weights). The AC also works well.
Only drawbacks to hotel: carpet outside of elevator on floor 2 is stained, and there should be a yoga mat in the gym.
In-room amenities are superb: small refrigerator, microwave, TV, COLD AC, good size room and bath.
The personnel are helpful and friendly. We loved the breakfast buffet (6am-10am) in lobby and the servers, Asia and the lovely lady who worked on Xmas day.More
