Loved the fact you can drive right on the beach and not tote your beach items across a hot parking lot and walk a mile in hot sand to get to a spot. The seagull sanituary was awesome and I appreciate the education I got from the wildlife preserve officer. The water is a little on the chilly side compared to jax. beach or neptune beach but so much nicer and we felt a little safer. The lifeguards were watching the swimmers in the water the whole time they were on duty and not what was going on in the sand. I really appreciated it. Can't wait to go back for a visit and we may camp next time.

I live down the road from this beach so we go there often. It is a clean beach with white sand. It gets a little crowded on the weekends, but during the week it isn't so bad. You can actually drive onto the beach to park.
If you like fishing, there are areas to fish.
If you just want to swim and enjoy the waves there is plenty of room there for you.
Camping areas are a bit small and close to the road, but you still have some privacy toward the water.
This really is a fun place to visit!

We really enjoy Huguenot. We have camped there and have come to just enjoy the beach. It's fun to be able to drive your car on the beach (it's the only place you can in Jville). You do pay to get in, however, which can be a drawback since all other beaches are free! They have a great little nature education spot where park ragners will talk to kids about wildlife and they have a hands on exhibit. Camping is affordable - but watch out for windy nights!

I live here in Jacksonville Fla, I have been to a bunch of the beaches here and this one is the best its clean, fun to camp, and most of all driving on the beach instead of toting your things a quarter of a mile like every other beach in jax, this is a must see.....

Beach side, River side - lots of water for kids to play and adults to swim. We camped 3 nights (with a generator since no hookups). Great fun. Lots of other areas to explore nearby on foot or kayak.
