The CIA tour was excellent. After the tour, we had later reservations at Escoffier.
We were expecting only the best service and food, but the experience fell a bit short.
Wine: Red wine served in a White Wine glass
Water refills needed to be requested
Apps: Fois Gras was luke warm towards cold. Escargot was good, not great.
Main course: Veal Filets were great, but again the temperature was a bit cold. The tableside sole was great and done just like in the Julie & Julia movie!
The side of Asparagus was awesome. The Leek and Morel veggies that came with the veal was really good.
Desserts: Cheesecake Bruleewas great. The poached pear was somewhat bland and it did not pair well with the included ice cream and chocolate sauce.
The service was not top notch, but we forgive them because these are just kids doing very adult jobs.
The staff was friendly and were more than eager to answer our questions.
